Please note that depending on the configuration used by the WebMaster, some of the functions listed below may not appear on the editor your are using.
CutRemove the selected object and puts it on the clipboard.

CopyCopy the selected object to the clipboard.

PasteInsert an object from the clipboard at the current position.

UndoUndo the last operation.

RedoRedo the last operation.

FontToggles between WYSIWYG mode and HTML code view

BoldMakes the selected text bold.

ItalicMakes the selected text italic

UnderlineMakes the selected text underlined

Strike throughDraws a horizontal line through existing text. Very useful when editing someone's work online.
IndentIndents the current text.

RightMake a numbered list

BulletMake a bulleted list.

TableInserts a table into your document. You are given the following options.
  • Rows: The number of rows you want your table to have.
  • Columns: The number of columns you want your table to have.
  • Border: The thickness of the border on your table. 1 usually looks good.
  • Border Color: The color of the border on the table. Black is a good looking choice.
  • Background Color: The background color in the table.
Once your table is inserted into your document the other options in this menu will be activated
  • Insert Row: Inserts a row into the table.
  • Delete Rows: Deletes a row.
  • Insert Column: Inserts a column into the table.
  • Delete Columns: Deletes a column.
  • Insert Cell: Inserts a table cell into the table. (one box)
  • Delete Cells: Deletes a table cell. (one box)
  • Merge Cells: Transforms two cells into one.
  • Split Cells: Takes one cell and makes two.
  • Edit Table: Edit properties of the table
ImageInserts a image into the document.
  • Uploading Images: Click the image button. A window will popup, then select browse. Find the image on your computer. If it is on a floppy disk try the a: drive, if it is on your hard drive try the c: drive. Then Click The upload button. Your System Administrator may have disabled this feature if you do not see the buttons.
  • Inserting Images: On the right side of the image window there is a list of files. Click one, and then click insert.
ImageInserts a link in your document to a file
  • Uploading files: Click the image button. A window will popup, then select browse. Find the image on your computer. If it is on a floppy disk try the a: drive, if it is on your hard drive try the C:\ drive. Then click the upload button.
  • Inserting files: On the right side of the image window there is a list of files. Click one, and then click insert.
LinkCreates a hypertext link with the selected text or object. To make a email link select "mailto:" from the protocol list, then type the email address.

AnchorInsert a named anchor into your text
LinkInserts special characters such as copyright (©)
Quote boxInserts, after prompting for information, a quote or highlight box into which a short, focussed piece of information is displayed in a highlighted table.

By default, the colours displayed are controlled by CSS; the quote box will appear transparent in the editor - it will displayed the CSS colours when the page is previewed. Users can set their own colours by clicking in the table and alterning the background and font colours via the tables menu.

LinkInserts a link to a popup window. Users are prompted for the name of the file to appear in the new popup window, and the width and height of the window, and whether it has a toolbar or note.
